Focus Consultation:
Your willingness to participate in an introspective/outrospective search for possibilities may reveal opportunities within your reach that offer you the fulfillment you deserve.
- In a 1-2 hour interview, you will be asked a general and personalized series of questions to draw out data that will become your criteria.
- Along with an inventory of your talents, values and passions, we will use your criteria to explore potential titles, roles, and compatible cultures.
- We will deeply examine the hypothetical of choosing one path over another.
- Both parties keep a list of your values to compare benefits/pitfalls of various roles.
- This document, also called a parent document, will include names and contact information for Subject Matter Experts with whom you can continue your path toward a definitive target for your transition.
- Continued consultation is provided at an hourly rate as needed until you have discovered a position worthy of your dedication.
Résumé:
You are great at what you do, but it is challenging to write about yourself the way employers need you to in order to identify you as a "MUST CALL" candidate. Perhaps writing a résumé is not on your extensive list of talents. It is on our list! Read our testimonials!
- We will begin with a 60-minute interview to draw out all of the relevant and impressive information that will get you interviews.
- Charésumé will compile the relevant data in a comprehensive, succinct way to communicate the value you will have to your future employer.
- Our words will paint a picture for potential employers of how their company will be better for having hired you.
Strategy (Deep Impact):
Your commitment and your ability to effectively manage your time while you are in transition is going to make all the difference between landing in the RIGHT place and acting out of desperation.
- This service is designed to guide you in how to effectively utilize resources and time so that you build and sustain momentum in your transition.
- We start with your list of transition resources in various categories and Charésumé supplements them with niche resources specific to your role/industry.
- Based on your allotted weekly search time, Charésumé lays out your planned activity to maximize the efficiency of your search.
- You track your progress in a spreadsheet provided by us.
- We will review the plan weekly and tweak as necessary to ensure that your time is invested wisely.
Research/Debriefing:
Being ahead of the game obviously gives you a competitive edge AND communicates to employers that you take your career seriously.
- This service will cut down the amount of hours needed in total and maximize the hours that you invest by allowing you to take action rather than do research.
- A customized questionnaire is sent and evaluated thoroughly upon your completion, with as many reviews as necessary to arrive at a clear set of 20-50 criteria.
- A 2-5-page company report is provided as well as an analysis of how well the company fits with your criteria. (We recommend that you assertively pursue companies that match 80% or more of your criteria.)
- Charésumé sources an employer that matches 80% of your criteria. We provide a 3-5 page company report that includes a list of the matching identifiable criteria, as well as a list of criteria not identified so that you know what to ask this prospective employer to qualify them further as a suitable fit.
- You are briefed on how we identified this company, as well as how we identified other companies that did not match your criteria and why they were eliminated as prospects.
- For packages that include multiple company reports, we spend 15-20 minutes debriefing after each conversation/interview so that Charésumé can track the pulse of your transition and be effective and efficient with our time investment on your behalf.
- It also allows you to be proactive, rather than reactive, exponentially increasing your competitive edge.
Interview Coaching:
Can you be objective enough to see yourself like employers do? If not, use our years of interviewing experience to identify both positive and negative indicators you may be giving employers. Learn how to eliminate negative indicators or transform them into positive indicators.
- Practice makes perfect! Don't use a target employer to practice!
- This one-time session takes the form of a mock interview that lasts 1-2 hours.
- You will have materials to review prior to the mock interview to help you prepare.
- Immediate feedback is provided and you will be given a customized interview preparation guide.
Networking Coaching:
Assembling a team of winners to help you execute a plan is the quickest way to achieve your goal. If you think you have to do it all by yourself, you are standing in your own way. There are people who want to help you be happy and successful. Especially if you are conducting a confidential search, there is an etiquette to reaching out to these people, and we can help you understand it, practice it, and apply it.
- This is provided to those who are just starting to build their network or need help activating their network.
- Exercises will be facilitated to direct you in how to recognize potential leads within your network.
- Networking opportunities will be identified and you will be assigned to attend several events.
- You will be taught how to leverage these opportunities to produce further network growth and job leads.
- If you need a partner for an event, Charésumé would be happy to attend, schedule permitting.
One-page Networking Profile:
At the executive level, most transition happens through networking. However networking events and opportunities may not be the venue to pass on your résumé. Many networking groups are now encouraging their attendees to bring and exchange one-page profiles.
- This document provides your network contacts with all of the information that they need to develop employment leads on your behalf.
- A unique value proposition will be developed to distinguish you from other job seekers in your field.
- Background information on industries, companies, roles, and skills will be gathered, if it has not been through other services provided.
- We will outline samples of the kinds of problems you can solve for companies and indicators that your network can look for that a company may have those problems.
- Target companies will also be included and either you can provide these or we can develop a list through the Research/Debriefing service.
Salary research:
Changes in the job market do not necessarily dictate that you must take a pay cut, but it may mean that you have to take certain steps to stay in the game. We utilize our network and resources to find you answers so that you can make informed decisions about the next steps in your career.
- There are several reasons why you may not assume the task of determining the salary of a particular career opportunity.
- You do not want to be the candidate who calls to only ask about salary; it may eliminate you.
- Your schedule does not allow you to invest time in performing research.
- The resources available are overwhelming and can be confusing to search and navigate.
- If you can provide us with a job description either for a particular company's position or a general title with some qualifying criteria, we will produce a report that informs you of a salary range.
- Our report will cite at least three different sources that may include: a niche industry site, an online salary calculator, government statistical sites, and hiring professionals in that industry.
- We will also provide a list of 3-10 factors that may influence the earning potential in that role.
- Upon request and for an additional fee, we will also research future earning projections for positions on a logical upward path.
Compensation Negotiation Consultation:
Of course, knowledge is power. We can arm you with the knowledge that you need to determine what a great offer is and how to elicit the right employer to extend it.
- If you are not sure at what point in the interview process you should discuss salary, what an appropriate and acceptable offer is, or how to be aggressive without going too far, let us guide you.
- As you progress in your career, compensation packages grow more complicated. Charésumé will help you understand your options and how they can improve your quality of life.
- You don't have to be a master negotiator to get what you deserve. You just have to be prepared.
Executive Biography:
A biography offers your contacts and their contacts enough information to concisely encapsulate your strong and sometimes extensive professional history and some personal history. A great biography is sometimes a more appropriate marketing piece than a résumé for an executive. Every executive should have one.
- This is a more personal glimpse into your career than your résumé offers and really adds to your personal branding as an executive.
- This requires an additional session so that more can be gathered about your early career path and accomplishments.
LinkedIn Profile:
If you do not have a LinkedIn profile or are not using your profile to extend and effectively promote your brand, you are missing out on one of the most powerful tools that can accelerate your transition and aid your networking activity.
- Charésumé will create content for your LinkedIn profile that offers those that visit an insight into your expertise, motivations, and personal interests.
- Visitors will be able to identify a commonality that will promote the pursuit of a genuine connection.
- If you have several pictures of yourself, Charésumé will help you identify which will be the most appropriate and flattering and we will post it for you.
- We will provide templates for your recommendation requests; you would then add a small personal touch for each request.
Charésumé, LLC offers a satisfaction guarantee: Anything that does not please you will be edited to your liking. We can provide references and samples of our work upon request.
Bundled pricing is available for multiple-service packages and may include cover letters.
Cover letters are $125/each or 3 for $300 and each is customized to a job description. Extensive research is done to identify the hiring manager, his or her "hot buttons", and contact information.
ROI Calculator - Determine whether you can afford to use our services:
It is generally accepted that job seekers can expect to be in transition one month for every $10,000 of salary in a stable economy. What we know to be true is that the actual length of a transition is proportional to the effort and strategy of the campaign. We estimate, based on the accepted estimation formula, our clients' salaries, and their actual transition lengths, that we have shortened our clients' transitions, on average, by 50%. We do this by using our training, experience, partners, and networks to accelerate seven transition steps (Goal setting, Marketing materials, Prospecting, Distribution, Networking, Interviewing, and Salary negotiation) and helping our clients navigate the obstacles particular to them that threaten to slow down their transition. Your salary / 10K = months X .5 = months X new monthly salary = value.
